Tuulikki is a cinematographer and film editor, driven by stories and the beauty found in everyday life. She shoots documentaries, TV series, music events, and commercial projects. For Tuulikki, creating a film is like composing a symphony, where light, imagery, rhythm, and sound come together to form a cohesive whole. With a deep passion for her craft and a clear artistic vision, Tuulikki approaches every project with creativity and steady attention to detail.
I graduated as a photographer from Pekka Halonen Academy of Arts in 2017, where I fell in love with analog mediums and workflow. As a photographer and gaffer I've made advertisements and various media contents in modern environments, but all of my personal projects have been analog. Covid gave me time to rethink my professional identity, and I found myself teaching short film and darkroom classes among other things at Helsinki Vocational College Media Stadi. Right now I work as a camera technician at cine gear rental house Valofirma. In my spare time I carry with me one of my numerous film cameras to capture the finest moments in life - like my two Maltese dogs, often on exotic or expired film stocks. As a photographer I'm calm and a good team player, passionate about beautiful imagery. I don't like to bend reality around my will. I’d rather express life as stunning as it is.
